Contractor Administration

Contractors are provided with a comprehensive contractor pack, given an explanation of the system and encouraged to seek external advice (especially regarding accountancy etc) before a further meeting where the vast majority of applicants sign up.
Our experience would suggest that almost all those interested would adopt independent contracting due to the significant advantages of becoming an independent contractor. Different combinations of the advantages appeal to different people, but the overall package is usually persuasive.
TCS' contract with the contractors requires it to provide many of the administrative services they require as independent contractors, including the administration of public liability and income protection insurances (if required), PAYG taxation payments (in line with agreements from the Australian Taxation Office), and SGC and personal superannuation contributions.
The contractor will record units of work on a standard document which forms an invoice to TCS. TCS requires the invoice to be countersigned by the relevant supervisor to verify the units completed/hours worked and/or, the bonuses/incentives achieved.
